Our real first time to the SNOW!!!!

Though the boys went to the snow two years ago, neither of them were old enough to remember it.  So today was really the first time they have been able to enjoy real snow.  Of course Charlie’s pants slid down while falling off his sled and got road rash on his little bottom.  For a day full of potential dangers I think we made it out pretty clean.  We found a giant ball of snow and added to it to make a fireman snowman.  All in all a success!

When life gives you lemons...

Make lemonade!  Grandma always does something fun with the boys when I have class at night and tonight they made lemonade.  Of Charlie could have squeezed the juice out of anything he could get his hands on...lol.

First Day of Preschool

Today the boys (and me) started school. I am so excited to finally have them in preschool and to be able to take classes during the day.  They are going Monday and Wednesday full day and a half day on Friday.  Here is Charlie last night in his dragon pajamas with his sword and shield watching the Dragon movie.

So when I went to pick them up Charlie was napping on a cot, so cute.  And Jack was riding a tricycle outside.  They had so much fun and can’t wait for Wednesday.

Lil’ Tikes Campout

Last night the girls from the playgroup all pitched their tents for the kids first camping trip.  Highlights included marshmallow roasting, dance party and flash light tag.  In the morning we all had breakfast.  The kids had a blast.

The Dancing Machine

Tonight while I was cleaning up the room I had some music on.  I ran out to put some stuff in the car and then came back in and found Jack rocking out to the music that was playing.  I don't know where he learned all these moves but all I have to say is watch out PB because in 15 years Jack will be on the loose.

The music is hard to hear so you will have to turn the volume up.

Vacation Bible School

My girlfriend Jen invited Jack to attend Vacation Bible School with her family.  He went every night from 5 –9 pm..which let me tell you was an incredible break.  Tonight we went to see the closing program where the kids sang and showed off their team cheers.  Jack had a sign around his neck that said “Jesus” and when I asked him who Jesus was he replied “I don’t know but he is really sick.”.  LOL.  We were all laughing so hard.  Thank you Jen for inviting Jack and for allowing him to have this great experience.

I’m not tired…

IMG_2497

No child ever thinks they are tired, but here is proof.  8:40 he is snuggling with his kitty and bear.

And 8:42

This morning before we left for the park Jack announced that he needed to draw pictures for Skyler, Ava and Ellie. And while I was packing up he kept double checking that he had the pictures for all  of them.  When the girls showed up at the park he made sure to individually give each of them their pictures.  Too cute.

And here is Charlie with his partner in crime 2 and a half year old Ben.  These two gang up on everyone and cause all sorts of problems.  The two of them managed to rip up a 10 x10 section of grass.  Which is the least of the trouble they could have gotten into.  Here Charlie has dumped his cookies on the grass with delight.

Random Summer Fun

I haven't posted anything in awhile...so here are some pictures and video of things that we have been doing.

Jack and Charlie have ventured out in their Toy Story costumes...LOL.

They both learned how to swim. (Here is a video of Charlie)

Jack got a "new" bike and is outfitted in all the safety equipment he could find at Wal-Mart.

Feral Cats of Mission Bay

So I have been hearing about a jetty in Mission Bay that houses a colony of feral cats.  Well today me and the boys were hanging in the backyard and we decided that there was no better day to go looking for them.  With a few hiccups...like ending up at the hotel that American Idol auditions were being held at ( we saw someone get the golden ticket firsthand) and making more than one u turn we finally found the jetty. The cats came out of the rocks to eat tuna and one was actually really nice and let Charlie pet him.

Fourth of July 2011

We are usually the crazy people that go to the beach at 6 o clock in the morning on the fourth of July...but this year we decided to go to Legoland instead.  Nothing says we love our country more than pushing a double stroller through crowds of tourists.

The highlight of the day besides fireworks was that Charlie is finally 40 inches and could ride on some rides he's wanted to but never could.

Right when we got in the door to the park Jack wanted to shop for souveniers.  So he got this police wallet which has a badge on it.  He showed it to every passer byer and thought he was too cool.

Charlie has the time of his life at the water park.  He must have gone down this red slide 100 times.

Grandma and Jack riding a roller coaster that has a pretty decent first drop. I think Grandma was more scared than Jack.

I had to get a picture of Jack finally eating after an entire day of nothing but chocolate milk.

Charlie plugging his ears in front of a musical fountain.  You can't blame him, sometimes enoughs enough.

Jack watching the fireworks.  Charlie fell asleep in the stroller like 5 minutes before they began.
